Vamos 256 Initiative
Backing street children and young people who need a way forward.
Every child on the street is there because something went wrong that was never their fault. The Initiative exists to give them a way back.
Vamos 256 grew up on the streets this work is aimed at. He knows what it takes to get off them, and he knows how much of it comes down to whether anyone shows up.
The Initiative runs small, practical programmes in and around Kampala. School fees and uniforms so a child can stay in class. Meals and washing facilities so they can think about anything else. Music and skills workshops so they have something to aim at.
It is deliberately small and hands-on. Everything raised goes into the programmes on this page.
Get involved
- Donate Money goes straight into the programmes below.
- Give items Food, clothing, school supplies and instruments are all used.
- Volunteer Teachers, coaches and producers are always needed.
